I have finally broken up from work for the summer, I am off to Europe for 9 days on a road trip of Amsterdam, Dortmund and Brussels. I hope the photos and studies I do whilst out there will inspire me to create some interesting architectural pieces of work that takes my art and techniques in a different direction. Who knows they may feature in my Solo exhibition this October.
The rest of the summer will allow me to soak up the sun and vitamin D (if the weather holds out) and a hell of a lot of art work planned to give me more of a headache when choosing what to exhibit in the exhibition. I have a few pieces planned to be submitted and hopefully exhibited in the Lakes Artists Summer Open Exhibition and the annual Milnthorpe exhibition happening in the next few weeks. I will be hoping to exhibit in the Association of Animal Artists exhibition too from 31st August to 27th September at Granary Art Gallery, Weston Park, Shifnal. I will be doing a lot more of these little 7x5 inch acrylic sketching on surplus mountboards, in the effort to make some looser work, increase my skills and quicken my ability to paint up.
